This is an awesome bridal kista , or bridal trunk. The entire inside of this is original paint from 1865. It was painted in 1865 for a bride who was born in 1844. It is exquisite in detail, history, design and color. The translation for this is very old fashioned Swedish language and therefore very difficult to translate but the translations is something like this: " Do me wiser, more Godly, merciful, and from the richness of your goodness in life and death participant. Carsten Anders Daughter, born on the 10th of Januari 1844, Painted in 1865 ." When we saw this in Sweden, my heart leaped inside of me at the beauty and the sentiment and the color, and design of 1865. The date on the outside is 1934 and that is when the outside was repainted. It is beautiful and very traditional in design. We feel that because the paint on the outside was newer, we were able to bring it out. We were thrilled to find this and it really should be displayed with the lid open and in view. If you do this, you will have a showpiece of beauty. Put lovely textiles inside to show off both the trunk and the textiles. It also has the original key and lock. It is 32 1/2" long, 20 1/4" tall, and 20 3/4" from front to back. Please email any questions or for more pictures. $ 2995.00

Danish Pine Toy Box/ Trunk 26 inches wide, 17 deep, and 21 inches tall. This simple, yet stylish trunk is both functional and pleasing to the eye. It served as a toy box in its past life, showing a bit of wear with a few scratches on the outside and a few pen and paint markings on the inside! This would be a fantastic toy box even now, but could easily be used for other household storage, or as a coffee table. The aged pine is a deep amber color, and the medium finish shows off the natural grain of the wood. $249.00
