This is a new midsommar pole purchased at a Hemslöjd shop in Sweden, and it is all hand made and very pretty. It even has a Swedish flag at the top of it.  It is 15 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. Enjoy

$35.00  SOLD

From Sweden with love comes this beautiful and unusual beaded Swedish midsommar pole. It is the only one I have seen that is beaded and by hand. This is wonderful and was made by a lady at a retirement community. It is definitely a "one only." It is 10" tall and the circle is 4 1/2" in diameter.  I cannot even imagine the work to string these beads and put this together. Enjoy and please email any questions. $85.00

This awesome vase, at 9 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" by 5" diameter is one of the best examples of Swedish folk art . It is entirely made of pottery and hand formed and hand painted with delightful scenes from North in Sweden. The man is dressed in the traditional Saami costume but the woman is wearing the hat of the Rättvik costume. Marked on the bottom is "Alvsjo" and "150 R". We believe that Älvsjo is the name of the town but are not sure what the number means 150 R. If anyone knows, please let us know. It has been in my personal collection for many years but I just cannot keep everything that I love. This has been repaired as I have shown you in the photos but unless you look very very closely, you cannot see it very well. It is just lovely and I have never seen another like this. I feel that this is real Swedish folk art at it's best. Enjoy and please email any questions.
