This is a gorgeous triptec set of a beach and wildlife, done in pottery by Arabia of Finland. Each panel is gorgeous and fits together to form a beautiful scene, and notice quietly the wild life in the panels, the birds in the nest, the seal's head in the water, all display their love of nature and beauty. Each panel is 7" X 14". They are in perfect condition but because of the fragility and weight , shipping will be $30.00. This is an original hand cut, paper cut picture of a couple from Finland. It was done by famous artist Sharyn Sowell, before she became famous. She is now very, very well known and has been in many national magazines and has written a book about paper cuts. However, she is a friend of mine and I got this one when she was first starting out. I just called her about this one and she confirmed that it was indeed a Finnish couple. It is beautiful and if you look closely , you can see her cutouts clearly under the glass. She did say that some of her work has been copied and re-produced, but I guarantee that this one is her work and is original. If you need a statement of authenticity, I can ask her to call you, or you may call her at her studio here in the Seattle area. If you type in her name in the search engine, like Google, you can get her website. This one is beautiful. It is 17" X 22 1/2" framed and the actual size of the artwork is 12" X 16". She began doing this on a fishing trip with her husband. She had her scissors to make things to keep her boys busy, while waiting for fish. She loved doing it so much, she offered her early work at a Nordic Fest at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle and other select businesses. The beauty of her work was immediately recognized.

This is a beautifully carved couple with what we believe to be soapstone, and from Scandinavia. On the bottom, it looks to be a Finnish name but we are not certain, only that it is from Scandinavian and probably from the 1950s. They are in good condition and you can see a metal knife and the seal that they have just caught . They are 5 and 5 1/2" tall. Please email any questions.

This is a very rare item, an old belt from Finland, hand crafted, to be worn with the traditional Finnish costume. This belt is made of brass and red leather and is intricately handcrafted. We are selling this "as found" and have not tried to clean the brass. If you wish to do that, it could be done. The actual length of this belt is 33 1/2" but an extender could be easily added to make it a larger size. Please look at the detail on this, exquisite. Please email any questions.
